At Congenius, we pride ourselves on our ability to lead small-mid-large scale strategy solutions to the challenges everyday companies face. From tech to branding, strategy & beyond, we connect with a lot of brands from varying industries, and during these unprecedented times brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, we have prided ourselves on helping our Genius companies adapt and overcome the challenges of this new world we’re living in.

Congenius has seen firsthand how businesses across different industries have tackled the challenges of COVID-19 as many have had to reassess the way they do business, ensuring the health and safety of their employees and customers/clients is their top priority. The following three companies we are highlighting have put some key strategies and tactics into practice amid the global pandemic and have successfully altered their course to continue to be available to their clients, resulting in their business continuing to thrive amid uncertainty. While many businesses have shuttered because of COVID-19, these companies haven’t slowed down operations in the slightest, but have instead adapted to the restrictions and changes necessary to slow the spread of COVID-19.

InReach Wealth Advisors

When the “stay at home” order began in March, InReach Wealth Advisors, a private wealth advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc, had to alter the way they do business. Typically, InReach, spearheaded by Jason J. Ayala CFP®, CIMA®, Private Wealth Advisor, thrives on building personal relationships with their clients, because there are few things more personal than handling personal financial matters. However, in March, the InReach team was able to quickly transition from working from and meeting with clients face-to-face in their Scottsdale office to working from home and advising clients via digital communications such as via telephone and video conferencing. As the financial world and the economy shuttered with the uncertainty of the pandemic, the team’s top priority of being accessible to their clients remained.

Beyond being able to still advise clients on how to continue their goals of growing and protecting their assets, the InReach team continued to focus on community outreach, which is one of the cornerstones of their practice. At the end of March, to support local businesses, InReach organized a very successful “Eat Pizza, Support Local” event to help out 4 of the best family/locally owned pizza places around the Valley: Venezia’s Pizzeria, Spinato’s Pizzeria, Pizza on 40th, and Times Square Neighborhood Italian Restaurant. InReach clients had the opportunity to take a night off from cooking and enjoy a meal with their family, donate their pizza to a family in need, donate their pizza to first responders, or donate to an elderly neighbor, all while simultaneously supporting local restaurants.

Additionally, hoping to help Arizona individuals and families amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, InReach organized a food drive for St. Mary’s Food Bank, which distributes food to hundreds of nonprofit partners throughout most of Arizona including food pantries, dining halls, and homeless shelters.

At the heart of any business is the employees, and when coworkers become like family is when the magic happens. For many, working at home with little social interaction these past few months has been extremely isolating, but the InReach team was able to safely stay connected with each other. They organized virtual paint night events and were even able to safely sneak away for a socially distanced team building weekend in Lake Tahoe.

It’s clear that InReach has continued to thrive throughout the pandemic, and a big part of their success is because of their continued efforts to connect with their clients, their community, and each other. Looking to the future, InReach is committed to prioritizing safety and protecting the physical and financial health of their clients, all while continuing to do what they love – building relationships and staying connected.

Strive Physical Therapy

At Strive Physical Therapy, promoting health and wellness is at the core of their practice. As a business providing an essential service, the physical therapy practice located in Chandler maintained their normal business hours, but had to adapt to keep their staff and patients healthy. Led by Shveta Jones, PT, DPT, Owner and Lead Physical Therapist, the team at Strive put in place many proactive measures to combat the spread of COVID-19, recognizing their responsibility extends beyond their practice but into their community as well. The precautions that have been put in place include increased frequency of disinfecting high-touch areas as well as team education and ongoing monitoring of CDC guidelines.

Strive Physical Therapy – Chandler, AZ treats injuries safely during pandemic

The mission statement of Strive Physical Therapy has always been to deliver exceptional care in a 100% one-on-one treatment format, and that has allowed for minimized contact between patients and staff amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. As always, patients still only come in contact with their physical therapist during treatment, reducing the risk of exposure.

When looking to the future, the goal of Strive Physical Therapy will remain the same – to promote health and wellness in their patients, staff, and community. As an orthopedics and sports medicine specialist, Shveta looks forward to continuing to help her patients get back to doing the things they love, but also giving them a whole new awareness and recognition of how to use their bodies. On the Go Transmissions

The Department of Homeland Security determined vehicle maintenance and repair shops to be part of the nation’s critical infrastructure as essential businesses, so On the Go Transmissions in Surprise has remained open throughout the pandemic. When the stay-at-home orders first took effect in March, On the Go was worried about the effects of the rapid change in the economy and initially felt a decrease in the number of people seeking service on their vehicles, especially since people were commuting for work less. However, the full-service auto service shop has actually experienced an increase in business over recent months!  With hesitation about air-travel during the summer months as the pandemic has raged on, On the Go Transmissions has seen that more people are choosing to service their vehicles for road trips, and are less keen on purchasing new vehicles. While On the Go specializes in transmissions, both manual and automatic, they also cover all drive-train service and all other car maintenance needs.

OTG implements new procedures to keep vehicles “on the go” during the pandemic

While remaining open, On the Go has responded to the need of limiting contact in a variety of ways. With customer service always at the forefront of their business, the transmission experts have put in place extra safety measures when handling customer vehicles. At the state-of-the-art facility, proper sanitization of vehicles and common areas have become a top priority – steering wheels, door handles, start buttons, shifters, seat belts and buckles, and key fobs are all sanitized when taking in and returning customer vehicles. During this time of recommended social distancing, OTG has been offering complimentary vehicle pick-up and drop-off, free towing with major repairs, discounted towing for minor repairs, and utilization of their drop box during business hours in addition to after hours. It’s evident that Donald and Ramona Jairum, owners of On the Go, and their entire team are working hard to keep their valued customers safe and on the go.
